Welcome to the NC Youth Soccer Recreation page. You can learn more about recreation soccer with NCYSA by viewing the FAQ’s below, or the links at the right side of the screen. Please email Jamie McLeod with any questions.
The NCYSA Recreation Program is administered by each of our local associations (who offer Rec level play), NCYSA, the VP of Recreation and the Recreation Council. There are no tryouts and there is a participation rule for players to play in each game.
We would love to come out & be a part of your Recreation season! We will be reaching out to individual associations throughout the year to check in. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out to our staff to see how we can work together. We are excited to support & collaborate with as many of our associations as possible!
North Carolina Youth Soccer Association strives to promote an emphasis on PARTICIPATION, not COMPETITION. We want our coaches to help truly make soccer the “Game for All Kids.”
It is well known that a child’s learning abilities varies with age. Thus, North Carolina Youth Soccer Association focuses on age-appropriate training, an important process in both the development of the player, as well as the team. Furthermore, NCYSA Recreation places a strong emphasis on using a holistic approach to coaching in an effort to shift the culture of soccer in North Carolina.
